Family Rage Continued

IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY READ MY BLOG POST ABOUT THE 18 YEAR-OLD-GIRL WHO CRASHED HER DAD'S PORSCHE 911 AND DIED, YOU SHOULD SCROLL PAST THIS ENTRY AND READ THAT ONE FIRST.

This is in response to some people who not want to see the pictures. I'm making no judgment here. But I do find it fascinating that we do this as human beings. It's kind of like when we smell spoiled milk. We let out a sound indicating how nasty it smells. In the very next second we then ask a friend (or by this time they have already asked us) to smell the stench. Why? We ALL know it is gross, yet we want to see, watch, smell, sometimes taste. Maybe there is some companionship/company we get by witnessing/sharing something gross.

I saw the pictures before I new what had happened (mainly to the family afterwards). Even then I sat there looking at the before pictures and then looked at the crash pictures. The one thing I seemed to focus on in the crash pictures is her one beautiful hair and how mangled and stretched out it was in the crash photos. The photos start with her dad's car turned upside down. Eventually they are able to put the car upright. Once that happened you can clearly see the victim still strapped into her seat.

On the ABC News Story Link I provided in my last blog you can see just some of the people who are weighing in on this story. Most of the people commenting on the story say the use of the crash pictures for lulz (to have a good laugh) is unjustified. Some think that by letting their children see the pictures online, they have shown them why we shouldn't drive fast on highways. Scare tactics like this have been debated and their effectiveness hasn't been validated - but in this case the pictures, end results, the crashed car, and every other detail in this story should of been left to the family to decide, about releasing the details. It is one thing for the family members to release pictures of the daughters decapitated body in order to teach other reckless individuals that actions have consequence. It is not up to the CHP (California Highway Patrol) to decide. Which in this case probably wasn't the motivator for sending the pictures outside of the departments they should of stayed in. At this point in time it seems like the officials involved sent these pictures to the interweb in order to:

  • have a laugh about some stupid girl being killed in a harsh way
  • get off at seeing gore
  • have or want revenge at all the pretty girls in your life/past who seemed to have everything and who dissed you for being a loser
Whatever reason caused the images to spread from the hands of cops, investigators and EMS is clouded at this point. But it only amplified the ability of some individuals (child-adults) who have found it funny to send the family hundreds of emails letting them know just how stupid their daughter was. And in case they forgot they always include the crash photos in the emails or letters they send.

If you go to Encyclopedia Dramatica (a hotbed of rudeness, anger, hate speech and other kinds of worthless human beings) you can see that the general consensus among the BLACK SHEEP OF THE INTERNET think this was funny - lulz worthy. I don't get it! ED has their story wrong and they are saying the accident happened on October 31st, 2007 - but all other "real" news accounts put the deadly incident as having happened on October 31st, 2006.

ED even says that protesters and hackers (who sent pictures of the accident to EVERYONE the family knows) even decided to show up at the funeral.

"How did you know Nikki?"
"Well I really didn't know her."
"So what brings your here? Did you have a family member die in a tragic car accident like Nikki did?"
"Nah, I'm here for the rest of the Internet Tough Guy's Full of Hate and Pent Anger With Inadequate Social Skills Clubs. You see about a week ago I was looking at some Beastiality Porn (you know when a chick or guy has sex with a dog or horse) - this was a woman being sodomized by a goat - and was getting ready to look at some Furry Porn (cartoon pictures of humanoid animals having sex with each other, which is also known as the biggest scourge on the internet), when my best bud IM'ed me and said I had to see these new pictures of some dead brat of a whore. He sent them to my email account and I laughed so hard at her brain matter being thrown across the pavement. In fact I lol'ed so hard I pissed my paints. I then beat off to the pictures, thinking what it would feel like to have sex with her after the crash. I then changed my underwear and knew I needed to make a some T-Shirts at Cafe' Press just for this lulz momment.. It has a picture of pre-crash Nikki and underneath her face it says: "I'd hit it..." and on the back it says: "...like a concrete tollbooth." I also made another shirt that has the upside down crashed car on it and underneath the vehicle it says: "Waste of a good car!" and under that I have: "RIP Nikki Catsouras: Thanks for the lulz!" I sell them online and I have some here, well outside at a booth across the street for $29.99. All the proceeds go to my pot and booze fund! Plus I'm thinking of getting a PS3 and Need For Speed 4. You see the irony?"

GUYS AND GALS OUT THERE WTF? Seriously WTF??? How is it funny to actually show up at the funeral of a dead girl who you only know because you had her crash illegal pictures emailed to you? How can you stand there hoping for an open casket and making fun of the parents for raising a spoiled brat of a daughter who deserved to have her head ripped off of her body? How? And do you plan to go to the funeral of the missing girl Madeline in order to laugh about how she was raped then killed or maybe killed then raped? When one of your relatives die in an extreme way please let me know so I can be there. So your Father died because of lung cancer, he smoked for 40 years, even 10 years AFTER he got his tumor. Would you mind if I sold off my Camel Joe Tshirts or had free cigars there in memory of his death? Ohhhhh......yeah, you're right that would be tasteless and rude.

To Deb who is reading the MySpace Version of my Blog - I read this story to Sarah and she knew I had the pictures on my hard drive. After reading the story she also wanted to see the images. After seeing the images she was baffled. How could somebody torment the family the way they are being tormented? To answer her question I remembered the one website that is the shit stain on the underwear of the internet (yes, them again): Encyclopedia Dramatica or ED. ED is a Mean Girls Wikipedia of the internet. If a kid killed himself or herself because of some kind of fucked up family life: ED is there to post and laugh about it. They consider any suicide, school/mall shooting, rape, murder or tradjedy to be epic funny and full oflsuper laughs - also known as Lulz.

So to help Sarah understand the kind of fucks who decide that emailing the family members pictures of their dead daughter or showing up at the funeral we went to http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com . Even though we both know ED's stance on everythig (tragedy = funny) we were both surprised and angered to read some of their comments, especially the following stuff:

This is taken from
http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com. We searched Nikki and brought up a results page that took us to the entry about the incident. I will not direct link to that page. Be warned that that page contains images of the crash site.

"As a result of the extreme nature of the crash, and the fact that Nikki was quite attractive beforehand (but moreso after, amirite?) the internet bloggers kicked into overdrive, lamenting the loss of teens on the roads. Possibly the lulziest part of the aftermath was the fact that "internet hackers", quite possibly under the influence of steroids, started sending the pictures to as many of Nikki's friends and relatives as they could. Some even arrived during her funeral, showing the speed the internet hate machine went into gear at. Her family, in a move so cold and calculated that they must have Jewish blood in them, filed a $20 million claim against the state for "emotional and punitive damages". That means that, after buying another porsche they'll have made back the cost of raising their daughter, of the written off porsche, and made about $19 million in profit. "

ED then goes on to say:

"The case continues, with the family looking likely to cash in. According to a later 20/20 news report, the family "no longer uses the internet and has pulled their 16 year old daughter from school because they fear other students might confront her with the pictures. She is now being home schooled". Cynical observers could point to the fact that she would have almost certainly already seen the pictures and that this could be a ploy to earn more money from the lawsuit." In regards to the last bit above, the family removed their daughter from school after teachers and faculty were told by a snitch that some of the mean students had intended to break open the 16 year-old-daughters locker and plaster it with photos of the crash scene, along with other pictures that the fucks of the internet have created after the events.

Just when the story gets worse it seems to become even more twisted. It has been over a year since Nikki passed away. However with the internet she may never have the chance to rest in peace. I hope the family can sue for millions of dollars for the leaking of the photos during a police investigation. But their trust in humanity will take years to fix, if ever they can move on from here.

FOR THE CATSOURAS FAMILY: My deepest and most heartfelt sorrow goes out to you at this time. I am sorry to hear about your daughters passing and I am also sorry for the way people have treated you in the aftermath of your ordeal. May you find the space and time for your family to heal it's sadness and loss. No family should have to go through the ordeal you have faced. May peace, love and God be with your family during the Holidays and all days of your lives.
