The current Dalai Lama has endured decades of suffering for his people. His Holiness The Dalai Lama the 14th is the physical and spiritual leader of Tibet. In 1959 His Holiness sought refuge in the republic of India for the arrival of his persecuted and denounced people. This was in response to the deliberate and violent Chinese occupation of Tibet and her people. Since his refuge in India - much has happened to make things worse. Yet despite these conditions, the coldness, the iron fist rule of the Communist China - the Dalai Lama has become the global embodiment of Peace, Love, Forgiveness and Compassion.

The Dalai Lama gives lectures worldwide (one even rolled through Pittsburgh in the late 90's). These lectures are amazing events that allow you to site at the feet of this amazingly bright Avatar.
