Google Wave User Guide
Two weeks ago I got my Google Wave invite. After waiting for a few months I was ready to give this new Google invention a test run. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand........wait, what the???? Huh?
Yeah most people are experiencing the same thing when they finally get to use Google Wave. There isn't much to Google Wave, yet it makes no sense at all without tons of people/contacts ALSO using it. It just doesn't make sense. Well luckily some users got to play around with Google Wave for the last few months and they have written guides for us to start putting the pieces together, to help us wrap our heads around Google Wave.
If you're having trouble understanding Google Wave check out this guide to all the features. If you would like a Google Wave Invite I happen to have a few left. Just send me an email at: nemrel@gmail.com.

Another Wave Spammer On Twitter
Twitter User: MSNWave is following me. WTF? MSN (Microsoft) is notifying people about Google Wave news and updates? Somehow I don't think so!
I went to their userpage and noticed a Tweet containing a shortened link that takes you to a Google Spreadsheet page asking for your information in order to get a Google Invite. The fake page looks really real, but it's a fake. However, using am official Google Spreadsheet to collect the information you might get fooled by the scam.
Here is the official page to sign-up for a Wave invite: https://services.google.com/fb/forms/wavesignup/.

Possible Twitter Phishing Scheme - twitrep.ly
Earlier today I was notified by Twitter that I had a new follower to my account ( http://twitter.com/nemrel/ ). I went to my new followers Twitter user-page and immediately my internet common sense started tingling. The basics of this new site is that you sign-up at their website and Tweet interesting and original questions. Other users answer your questions.
Now where the trouble comes into play is that http://twitrep.ly is virtually unheard of in the social networking scene. Secondly the website asks for your Twitter username and password in order to keep track of the questions you ask through their website. That's a BIG no-no with your internet accounts. NEVER GIVE A THIRD PARTY SITE YOUR PASSWORD! The exception to the rule are websites or services that you can trust. You can find out if you can trust a website with your user details by doing a simple Google search. A great website for learning about the recent and current social media buzz is Mashable.com.
A new service is coming from Google and it is creating a huge buzz. It's been a trending topic for Twitter for the past couple of weeks. It's called Google Wave and participation is only available through invites. Right now the demand is huge for Google Wave invites. So twitrep.ly has an offer that seems to good to be true. Sign-up at their website. Send a question to your Twitter account via twitrep.ly and if your question gets 5 or more comments/answers you are placed in a pool to possibly get a Google Wave invite.
Don't let your desire of a Google Wave invite allow you to give over your Twitter account password.
